China-Restaurant Yang
About This Spot
Stepping into China-Restaurant Yang on Weinberggasse feels much like entering a quiet, cherished corner of a bustling city where time slows just enough to welcome you in with warmth. The space carries a comforting, slightly old-school charm, reminiscent of a cozy Cantonese home rather than a typical urban eatery. It invites you to settle into a relaxed rhythm, where conversations linger and each flavor unfolds with gentle intention.
Here, dining isn’t about rushing through plates but about savoring moments—whether it’s the subtle crackle of a crispy duck served with aromatic garlic, or the delicate twist of hand-stirred noodles that carry a whisper of traditional Chinese kitchen craft. The attentive yet unobtrusive staff add to this feeling of being quietly looked after, enhancing an experience that feels personal and sincere.
The menu offers more than just food; it presents a curated journey through classic and lovingly prepared dishes that speak of Chinese culinary heritage. Whether it’s a vibrant stir-fry with fresh greens or a rich, slow-simmered concoction with beef and beans, every bite hints at stories told over shared meals. Dim sum, though modest in variety, adds a gentle nod to tradition, perfect for those who cherish small, satisfying tastes with each sip of tea.
This restaurant is a rare find in the quieter fringes of Vienna’s 19th district—a place where the atmosphere is unhurried and the flavors embrace you with familiar comfort. It’s a setting that invites locals and visitors alike to pause, connect, and enjoy the understated joy of a meal that feels both genuine and thoughtfully crafted.

The food was amazing! We ordered the crispy duck with garlic sauce, duck noodles, stir fried eggplant, and crispy rice cracker with beef. The duck noodles is a must have. The fried garlic and shallot is a special touch that elevates the aroma. Service is awesome! Top notch. Highly recommend coming here for dinner.

Tasty Chinese food and dim-sum(though limited selection) on the quite side of Vienna. Friendly staff and feels like you are in cozy Chinese house. Highly recommend
